AIMS & OBJETIVES
The following aims and objects will be performed by the organization on the basis of non-communal feeling. Non profit making, literacy, scientific & charitable etc.
a) The organization is to improve the condition of the rural libraries and rural people through the every rural library in Assam and increase the number of readers in rural and backward Society.
b) Propagate the library services in Assam through conference, seminar, book-exhibition, training etc.
c) The Organization is to form sub divisional Association by the libraries situated at different blocks of the sub divisions and the state organization will be formed by the sub-divisional association.
d) Full co-operation to the rural libraries for its development.
e) Provide legal instruction and proposal to the government for formulation of a library Act by State Govt. for the improvement and preservation of the rural libraries.
